Bersatu vows equal funding for all Negeri Sembilan reps

PETALING JAYA : Bersatu has pledged to introduce a law guaranteeing equal annual allocations for all Negeri Sembilan assemblymen regardless of party, as part of its manifesto for the Aug 1 state election. The manifesto also promises a special committee comprising community and professional representatives to monitor the implementation of its pledges, as well as stronger welfare support and formal recognition for adat territorial chiefs, including a review of their allowances.

Among its biggest spending commitments are a RM100 million Rumah Rakyat affordable housing fund, including a rent-to-own scheme; a RM25 million critical illness fund covering cancer, heart disease, stroke and kidney disease; and a RM25 million education fund offering RM500 to RM1,500 in aid for students entering tertiary education.
