From the original report

KUALA PILAH : All key positions in the community development department (Kemas) should be made permanent posts in order to strengthen the service scheme and safeguard the welfare of its personnel, deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said today. Zahid, who is also the minister of rural and regional development, said he had instructed the Kemas director-general to look into more attractive salaries and allowances for all Kemas teachers.

“So far, the service scheme approved by the public service department has placed contract positions for Kemas. I have also instructed the director-general to make all key positions into permanent positions,” he said.
