PETALING JAYA : Six men will be charged tomorrow over the kidnapping of a 46-year-old man in Petaling Jaya on July 17 for a RM7 million ransom. Federal criminal investigation department director M Kumar said the six were among eight people arrested in connection with the case.
In a statement, Kumar said they will be charged in the Petaling Jaya sessions court with kidnapping for ransom under the Kidnapping Act 1961, which is punishable by 30 to 40 years in prison and whipping, if convicted.
