Abang Jo warns Sibu bridge project could be affected by S’wak polls

PETALING JAYA : Sarawak premier Abang Johari Openg has warned that a proposed bridge in Sibu could be affected if there is a change of government after the next state polls. Abang Johari said the RM400 million Sibu-West Bank bridge project, which will improve access between Sibu town and areas across the river, has already been designed, Dayak Daily reported.

“If the (current) government continues , the bridge will be built and it will take three years to complete. If the wrong choice is made (at the polls), then we can forget about it,” he was quoted as saying at a Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) convention in Sibu today.
