PETALING JAYA : The Kelantan assembly’s four-day meeting scheduled to begin tomorrow has been postponed to allow the state government to finalise proposed amendments to its shariah criminal enactment. Assembly speaker Amar Abdullah said the postponement was made at the state government’s request and the meeting will now be held from Aug 11 to 13, Sinar Harian reported.

“The government requested the postponement to finalise (amendments) to the Kelantan Syariah Criminal Code (I) Enactment 2019,” he was quoted as saying.
