GLASGOW : Malaysian athletes had a mixed day as they competed in swimming, para swimming, lawn bowling, artistic gymnastics and 3×3 wheelchair basketball on the second day of the 2026 Commonwealth Games here on Saturday. Para swimmer Ethan Khoo finished fourth in the men’s 200m freestyle S14 final with a time of 2:5.25 while swimmers Khiew Hoe Yean, Tan Khai Xin, Lim Yin Chuen and Arvin Shaun Singh Chahal failed to make it pass their heats at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre.
The men’s 3×3 wheelchair basketball team suffered a heartbreaking loss in their opening Group B match against Wales, who beat them 13-14 in the dying moments of the game at the Scottish Event Campus.
