PETALING JAYA : The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, to be held in Malaysia from Oct 2 to 4, will benefit the country economically in the long term, says deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. He said higher tourist numbers and greater global exposure would attract more investment to the country and encourage the organisation of other world-class events.
Zahid also said the race would be watched by millions worldwide, further enhancing Sepang International Circuit’s (SIC) international profile.
