This is the latest case of Malaysians being caught abroad allegedly attempting to smuggle drugs. The man, 22, could be sentenced to death if convicted.

From the original report

Singapore’s Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said when the suspect’s car was ordered to undergo additional checks at the checkpoint, officers found a box with two blocks of substances believed to be drugs in the vehicle’s boot.

Central Narcotics Bureau officers then uncovered more drugs in the car’s boot, confiscating a total of 8.6kg of cannabis and 1.5kg of methamphetamine, Singapore’s Straits Times reported.

This is a brief of a report by another newsroom. The excerpt below is from the original.
