Netflix Hikes Subscription Prices In Malaysia; Now Starts From RM19.90/Month

Back in March, Netflix raised the prices for its subscription plans, though at the time the changes only applied for users in the US. Now, it looks like the price hikes have finally arrived for Malaysian customers. The streaming platform has updated its pricing for the local market, and the new rates seem to be effective immediately.

As detailed on the Netflix official website, the Mobile plan now costs RM1 more than before. This package, which allows users to stream on one mobile device at 480p resolution, has gone up from RM18.90 per month to RM19.90 per month. Meanwhile, the Basic plan, offering 720p streaming on a single supported device, has a monthly cost of RM33.90, marking a RM4 increase from its previous price of RM29.90.
