Works Ministry seeks bigger 2027 development budget to bolster infrastructure plans, says Ahmad Maslan

Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the ministry hoped to remain one of the main recipients of Development Expenditure (DE) allocations in the government’s annual budget.

“Year after year, out of the 28 ministries, KKR receives the largest development allocation. For instance, in 2026, out of a total DE allocation of RM81 billion, nearly RM9.6 billion, or 10 per cent, was allocated to KKR.
