Former prime minister Najib Razak has been granted a conditional pardon allowing him to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest until Aug 23, 2028, following a consent from Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar during the Pardons Board's meeting today.
In a short statement, the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister's Department said the the house-arrest arrangement is conditional on Najib paying a fine of RM50 million.
