KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) and Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd have signed an Electricity Supply Agreement (ESA) and a Cooling Energy Supply Agreement (CESA), formalising a partnership to strengthen Malaysia's energy and water infrastructure.

Under the collaboration, TNB will supply high-voltage electricity to the Sungai Rasau Water Treatment Plant in Kuala Langat while also providing district cooling services to Air Selangor under a 20-year concession agreement.
TNB said the Sungai Rasau facility, which has a treatment capacity of 1,400 million litres per day, is the largest water treatment plant in Southeast Asia.
