Unisem Q2 net profit rises 8.5pct on stronger sales volumes

The semiconductor packaging and testing group said the stronger revenue was driven by higher sales volumes across its key operating units, although earnings growth was partly offset by higher operating expenses.

For the first half of the financial year, however, Unisem slipped into a net loss of RM3.45 million from a net profit of RM15.14 million a year earlier despite recording higher revenue.
