KUALA LUMPUR: Former television host and actress Rina Khan has long left acting behind to focus fully on her career as a screenwriter.

Best known for hosting the popular quiz show Pop Kuiz with Datuk Aznil Nawawi, Rina, 56, said she has always felt more comfortable working behind the scenes than appearing in front of the camera.
"I no longer act. I stopped acting in the early 2000s. I started writing scripts in 1996, after first writing novels before moving into screenwriting," she said at a press conference for Pentas Drama TV AlHijrah 2026 at the station's Digital Broadcasting Studio here yesterday.
