SUNGAI PETANI: A man failed in his appeal against his conviction and six-year jail sentence for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a temple nearly four years ago.

High Court judicial commissioner Darmafikri Abu Adam upheld the Sessions Court's conviction and sentence against Gee Fook Choy and additionally ordered that he undergo two years of police supervision upon completing his prison term which began on June 25 last year.

Gee was charged with committing the offence between 2am and 2.30am at the temple in an industrial area in Pinang Tunggal on Oct 15, 2022.
