PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has obtained remand orders against 12 people over their alleged involvement in a syndicate that hacked the Malaysian Immigration System (MyIMMs) to fraudulently process Temporary Employment Visit Passes (PLKS).
The suspects comprise two company directors, three foreign nationals, four Immigration Department officers, two officers from the department's Information Technology Division and a police officer.
Magistrate Ezrene Zakariah today granted a three-day remand until July 31 for five male suspects, while another five men and two women were remanded for two days until July 30 following an application by the MACC at the Putrajaya Magistrates' Court.
