Tabung Haji RCI recommends forensic audits into 13 investments
KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into Tabung Haji (TH) has recommended forensic audits of 13 investment projects and companies to determine how past investment decisions contributed to significant declines in the institution's asset values.
The commission said the audits were necessary to examine the decision-making process behind investments that had become problematic and contributed to TH facing financial pressure.
Among the investments identified for forensic review were TH Indo Plantations (THIP), Emrail Sdn Bhd, Wellspring Worldwide Limited, Deru Semangat Sdn Bhd, Trurich Resources Sdn Bhd, Abraj Sdn Bhd, Putrajaya Perdana Berhad, Al-Rawda Real Estates Development & Project Management Co Ltd, Alfareeda Residential Fund, TH Plantations Berhad, TH Properties Sdn Bhd, Alam Maritim Resources/TH Marine, TH Hotel & Residences Sdn Bhd and FGV Berhad.
