RCI questions AG's clean audit opinion on Tabung Haji's 2017 accounts
KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Commission of Inquiry into Tabung Haji (TH) questioned the auditor general's decision to issue an unqualified audit opinion on the fund's 2017 financial statements, saying the accounts did not accurately reflect its financial position.
In its report, the RCI found that TH's accounts should not have received a clean audit opinion as they contained significant accounting issues, including the failure to recognise impairment losses and reflect the true value of certain assets.
