Tabung Haji RCI: High hibah payouts put pressure on TH finances

In its report, the RCI said TH continued declaring attractive hibah between 2014 and 2017 despite its weakening financial position, resulting in the depletion of reserves and increasing pressure on management to generate higher returns.

The RCI identified the payment of hibah beyond TH's financial capacity as one of the key factors contributing to the institution's financial challenges during the period under review.
