Putrajaya wants federal, state housing schemes to complement each other

The government said raising the homeownership rate would require a coordinated approach combining affordable housing supply, easier financing, policy reforms and closer collaboration among the federal and state governments, financial institutions and the private sector.

Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu said this approach would enable more Malaysians to buy homes that matched their preferred location, budget and financial capacity.
