KUALA LUMPUR: Fashion entrepreneur Christy Ng and her company, Christy Ng Sdn Bhd, have been awarded RM180,000 in global damages by the High Court over defamatory publications made by the operator of the "archnionverse" Threads account.

From the original report

The court also ordered the defendant, J. Vikneshvra Rau, to pay interest and RM10,000 in costs, as well as publish a public apology in three newspapers and on his social media accounts.

In a press release issued by Ng and her company, they said the award followed a default judgment entered on Feb 13 in their favour for defamation, the tort of harassment and unlawful interference with their trade and business.

This is a brief of a report by another newsroom. The excerpt below is from the original.
