KUALA LUMPUR: The Immigration Department has arrested a Myanmar woman suspected of acting as an illegal agent for a syndicate offering fraudulently issued Temporary Employment Visit Passes (PLKS) to undocumented foreign workers.

Immigration director-general Datuk Zakaria Shaaban said the woman was among eight Myanmar citizens arrested during a special operation at a residential premises in Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Selangor, on Saturday.
"The operation, which began at 3.50pm, was conducted by officers from the Intelligence and Special Operations Division at the Immigration Department headquarters in Putrajaya.
