PM to receive anti-corruption committee's 2025 report ahead of Parliament tabling
KUALA LUMPUR: The Special Committee on Corruption's (JKmR) 2025 Annual Report will be submitted to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim before being tabled in Parliament, taking into account the 2025 Anti-Corruption Advisory Board (LPPR) review regarding the operational functions of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) under the MACC Act 2009.
In a statement today, JKmR said that the report also takes into account matters discussed during a special presentation session on the LPPR Review at the committee's Meeting No. 3 for 2026, held today.
"At the meeting, JKmR took note of the LPPR Review regarding MACC's 2025 Annual Report and the issues raised, particularly concerning the status and implementation of enforcement, prevention, and management actions by MACC, in line with the check-and-balance mandate given to JKmR," the statement read.
