Malaysia calls for greater burden-sharing over Rohingya crisis

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said a sustainable solution required efforts to address the root causes of the crisis, including citizenship issues, while creating conditions for Rohingya refugees to return safely, voluntarily and with dignity to their places of origin in Rakhine State.

"Malaysia remains deeply concerned about the prolonged conflict and worsening humanitarian situation in Myanmar, particularly the continued suffering of the Rohingya, which has also had a significant impact on Malaysia," he said.
