43,000 litres of subsidised diesel seized, three held in Perak raid
IPOH: The Perak Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry detained three men and seized 43,000 litres of subsidised diesel during a raid at a fishing jetty in Hutan Melintang, near Teluk Intan, yesterday.
Perak ministry director Datuk Kamalludin Ismail said the 5am raid under Ops Tiris 4.0 also led to the seizure of a Class C fishing boat, a tanker lorry, two skid tanks, hoses, oil transfer equipment, a hydraulic electric pump, and several related documents.
"The total value of the seizure is estimated at RM1,525,190. The case is being investigated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961 and the Control of Supplies Regulations 1974," he said in a statement today.
