KUALA LUMPUR - A former Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) general manager was hauled to the Magistrate’s Court here today for remand proceedings over suspected abuse of power involving developer appointments and the illicit sale of prime statutory body land in the capital. The suspect, in his late 60s, arrived at 9.15 am clad in a green collared shirt under heavy Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) escort. He was nabbed at 4 pm yesterday alongside another suspect in his 50s after both were summoned to the MACC headquarters to give their statements. Of the seven investigation files, six brand-new papers were opened on Aug 24, while one existing file remains active and is undergoing international tracking via the Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) process.
