Two businessmen, who hold Datuk Seri and Datuk Wira titles, are being investigated over an alleged collusion involving an education foundation and an investment company

From the original report

KUALA LUMPUR – Two corporate figures who are brothers have been remanded for five days in connection with an investigation into an alleged abuse of position involving an investment worth about RM10 million. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) secured the remand order, effective today until Oct 5, from Putrajaya Magistrate Ezrene Zakariah this morning. A source said the two men, aged in their 40s and 50s and holding the titles Datuk Seri and Datuk Wira, were detained at about 9 pm yesterday after recording their statements at the MACC headquarters here. Preliminary investigations found that the brothers were allegedly acting in collusion in the offence, which is believed to have taken place in late 2020. “They are also believed to have colluded with an officer of an education-based foundation to approve an investment of about RM10 million in an investment company owned by the elder brother,” the source told Bernama. The MACC also seized 15 luxury cars, 12 high-powered motorcycles, five luxury watches, three bracelets and about RM30,000 in cash. MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman, when contacted, confirmed the matter and said the case was being investigated under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009. - October 1, 2026 The post MACC remands corporate brothers over alleged RM10m investment abuse appeared first on Scoop .
