Sony MDR-3R brings retro Walkman style and sound to Malaysia: Priced from RM259

Sony has officially introduced the MDR-3R, a pair of lightweight wired headphones modelled after the original MDR-3 that debuted alongside the TPS-L2 Walkman in 1979. Rather than relying on vintage analogue connections or wireless battery packs, the revived model pairs its classic late-1970s / 1980s aesthetic with a native USB-C interface tailored to modern smart devices.

The Sony MDR-3R lineup is now listed for pre-order in Malaysia through Sony Malaysia’s online store . The standard MDR-3R retails at RM259 , while the Stranger Things Edition (yup, that Netflix series) is priced at RM299 .
