Police seized 23,000 litres of diesel and five lorries worth an estimated RM949,160 in total during Op Taring Landai in Taman Kota Puteri, Masai, yesterday.

Marine Police Force Region Two commander ACP Noor Azman Jamal said the operation, conducted at about 11.45 am, was carried out by the Johor Marine Intelligence Unit after receiving information from the public about the alleged misuse of subsidised diesel.
He said an initial inspection of two lorries on Jalan Penaga found diesel stored in rectangular tanks at the rear of the vehicles.
