DAP votes to stay in cabinet, ending uncertainty over role in MADANI Government

THE DAP has voted to remain in the Federal Cabinet until the end of the current parliamentary term, preserving its role in Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's MADANI Government after weeks of internal debate over whether the party should withdraw from the administration.

The decision was endorsed at the party's special congress today following a secret ballot involving thousands of delegates, with the outcome confirming that DAP's ministers and deputy ministers will continue serving in the Government for the remainder of the 16th Parliament.
