Eppendorf inks lease for first Southeast Asia plant in Penang
GEORGE TOWN: German life science company Eppendorf SE today signed a lease agreement to establish its first Southeast Asia manufacturing facility at Bandar Cassia Technology Park.
This marks the formal commencement of Eppendorf's planned RM180 million (€40 million) greenfield production facility, which is expected to begin operations in 2028 and manufacture selected products from its centrifuges and Instruments portfolio.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the investment reflected the confidence global industry leaders continued to place in Penang's industrial ecosystem while strengthening the state's capabilities in the scientific and measuring equipment sector.
