KUALA LUMPUR: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) is stepping up efforts to unlock Malaysia's marginal and stranded hydrocarbon resources, with two new upstream initiatives aimed at accelerating exploration and production.

From the original report

Through Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), Petronas has awarded the Estuary Cluster small field asset production sharing contract (SFA PSC) to Harvester Energy (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, while handing over seismic data for the Mutiara Cluster to support further exploration.

The Estuary Cluster comprises the Lerek, Korbu and Diwangsa fields in the Malay Basin, one of Malaysia's established offshore hydrocarbon provinces, it said in a statement.

This is a brief of a report by another newsroom. The excerpt below is from the original.
