KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds expected to affect five states and Labuan until 11pm tonight.

In a statement, MetMalaysia said the affected states are Perlis; Kedah (Langkawi, Kubang Pasu and Kota Setar); and Pahang (Raub, Jerantut and Temerloh).

A similar warning has also been issued for Sabah, covering the Interior (Sipitang, Kuala Penyu and Beaufort), the West Coast (Tuaran, Ranau and Kota Belud), and Sandakan (Telupid, Beluran and Sandakan).
