Study causes of Old Klang Road jams before building flyover, says expert
KUALA LUMPUR: A transport policy expert has urged Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the Public Works Department (PWD) to diagnose the causes of congestion along Old Klang Road before deciding whether to build a proposed double-decker road or flyover.
MY Mobility Vision founder and senior adviser Wan Agyl Wan Hassan was responding to Seputeh member of parliament Teresa Kok's call for DBKL and PWD to study the need for additional road capacity along the busy Kuala Lumpur corridor.
Kok, in a Facebook post, had also urged DBKL to study worsening congestion in Bukit Jalil and Sri Petaling, particularly amid concerns over high-density development and inadequate public transport access.
