Malaysia’s next-generation MyKad has just started rolling out this week but its redesigned appearance appears to be causing issues with some electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) systems.
A newly issued MyKad holder who tried to verify their identity on the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app found that the new card was rejected during the eKYC process. An error message "Invalid ID type" pops up after scanning the new IC.
